The 2016 Zenvo ST1 is new supercar, at the same time one of the fastest vehicles, ever. If Swedes can do it, why wouldn’t Danes be able to do it as well? We are talking about supercar production and are trying to draw a parallel between Koenigsegg and Zenvo. 2016 Zenvo ST1 is similar to Koenigsegg Regera in many ways.
First, they have a similar price, then they hail from the same part of the world, and they have both received awful reviews by Top Gear crew. However, while Swedes fixed they car and returned in style, Danish Zenvo division is yet to do this.
2016 Zenvo ST1 Engine
2016 Zenvo ST1 will most likely incorporate these changes. They’ll have to replace some of their inside fans in order for car not to catch fire in extreme conditions, and they’ll also have to do something about their transmission. In fact, 2015 year model already did this and ST1 now features sequential 7-speed automatic transmission instead of previous manual unit.
Powertrain, on the other hand, remained the same. 6.8L V-8 mill is both turbocharged and supercharged and capable of developing 1,104 hp and 1,054 lb-ft of torque. Drivetrain is, needless to say, still biased towards rear wheels.
Design – Interior and Exterior
Design is pretty much supercar-like. 2016 Zenvo ST1 can easily be recognized from afar thanks to its deep inlet cuts on the hood and frontal fascia with hexagonal grille and dual circular headlamps inside trapezoidal housing. Between these inlets and headlamps, there are couple of flared fenders which divide them. Midsection doesn’t fall behind when it comes to extravagance. Apart from sharp creases, it houses a large air intake at the foot of rear wheel which, in turn, sits below the flared fender.
Rear end is even more recognizable thanks to triangular tail-light housing which finds enough space for both dual circular tail-lights and circular exhaust pipe. There are also open-mouth bumper and wing spoiler mounted atop the overhang.
Zenvo’s interior is somewhat bland. Those beeswax stitches look great on black suede and Alcantara leather, but dashboard lacks some flair. Instrument panel is simple and bound by carbon fiber housing. In its middle sits touch screen display, while couple of airvents sit atop it. Otherwise, there’s nothing special to it. Almost every single part is made in-house which says a lot about Zenvo; company which employs around 20 people. Making ST1 is a tough and time-consuming job for a force this thin, an that’s why price tag is what it is.
2016 Zenvo ST1 Price
Speaking about the price, 2016 Zenvo ST1 commands £750,000 price tag. If you prefer Euros instead, this translates to €850,000. This is quite a hefty sum for most people, but Danes don’t plan on building more than 15 units overall, and large part of them have already found their new owners.
2016 Zenvo ST1 might be looked upon as a supercar like any other. However, one has to pay respects for any company that is this small and able to produce a supercar, no less. This is no mean feat, especially when you consider that this car reaches 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds and top speed of around 200 mph.
Unfortunately, the official video about this car don’t exists, still. So, stay tuned and come here for a two months.
