The new 2017 Aston Martin Vantage coming with small changes, especially when it comes design. The first spy photos are here, finally. Everyone knew that Vantage is going to be a supreme vehicle ever since Aston Martin decided to reintroduce the nameplate 10 years ago.
British outfit just doesn’t deal with bad cars; every nameplate that comes out of Gaydon’s plant offers sheer quality. 2017 Aston Martin Vantage is ready for both design facelift and more horsepower under its hood..
2017 Aston Martin Vantage Engine
It seems that British are planning on introducing new 4.0L bi-turbo V-8 mill which should considerably up the output of current 4.7L normally aspirated V-8 engine which is capable of putting up 420 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, Vantage S should continue to be offered with 6.0L V-12 unit which makes 565 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. Now, transmission options have received some criticism.
Not that they are bad, but such a roadster definitely deserves better than 7-speed automated manual from both models or, somewhat conventional 6-speed manual from V-8 model. Will British change gearboxes, remains to be seen.
Design – Inside and Outside look
We don’t think that design change is necessary, but 2017 Aston Martin Vantage might receive some nevertheless. However, frontal fascia should continue with the similar grille option while lower air intake might become more open. Beautiful, singular oval headlamps should carry over as well, while hood intakes might be rearranged. 2-door layout remains a natural choice, hence midsection shouldn’t be that different than it currently is. Finally, we just don’t see sublime rear end changed any time soon. In fact, it should remain the same forever, as far as we are concerned.
Same can be said for Vantage’s interior as well. Apart from the fact that it is furbished with finest and softest materials, grand tourer features some exquisite curves. Oval dash is really something to behold. Instrument panel follows dashboard’s lines, but executes contrasting colors. Furthermore, it is covered with leather and adds some contrasting stitches. Touch screen display is neatly hidden away inside the dash and pops out when car is on, while rest of control panel exhibits plenty of buttons and knobs like in years past.
If neither of these is appealing enough for you, there’s always carbon fiber option. Needless to say, 2017 Aston Martin Vantage is outfitted with the most advanced tech features one can imagine. Even base sound system has 160 watts of power, while optional one adds much more. Six-CD changer, smartphone integration, navigation and organic electroluminescent displays are all present. Safety features are highly advanced as well, and consist of a rearview camera, rear parking sensors and few other options.
2017 Aston Martin Vantage Price
You won’t get high-end fuel economy figures from it. V-8 models are rated at 15 or 16 mpg combined depending on chosen gearbox, while V-12 models return even lower figures. Expect the price range to roughly fit between $150,000 and $200,000.
The biggest competitors are: Porsche 911 Turbo and Mercedes AMG Turbo.
2017 Aston Martin Vantage shouldn’t bring that many changes. Apart from new basic engine, and, hopefully new transmission choices, it could only give us some minor design tweaks, together with some new tech. It is still too early to speculate upon those tech tweaks, however.
